Wayne Aussem
Wayne has over 25 years of ice rink and recreational facility experience in the areas of operation, design and development. He has been involved with more than 40 recreational projects totaling more than 2 million square feet.
Wayne began his recreational career in the 1983 when he took over the operations role at Columbia 4 Rinks, twice in the Guinness book of records as the largest ice rink facility in the world. In 2003 Wayne established his own company and continued to service clients and projects world wide. Wayne has contributed to facilities have been recognized as Facilities of Excellence, as selected by Athletic Business magazine.
Wayne is currently serving his second term on the Board of Directors of STAR (Serving the American Rinks) and has served on the Board of the Recreation Facilities Association of BC. Wayne has been a quest speaker at numerous industry events over the years and continues to instruct at the NARCE (North American Rink Conference and Expo) conference on facility operation and design.
