Romulus Athletic Center

The Romulus Athletic Center, a 90,000 square foot, “multipurpose” recreational center, features a premier fitness center, indoor track, a climbing wall, an indoor water park and a multifunctional banquet hall suited for weddings, parties and business meetings.  The indoor water park consists of five pools, including a splash pool, a lazy river, a 2-story water slide, lap pool, hot tub and a zero-depth entry pool.  Fitness training and aquatic lessons are offered by certified staff.  The center’s sports area includes a rock climbing wall and two full-size gymnasiums for basketball and volleyball.  The second floor indoor track and lounge area is the prefect vantage point for watching airport arrivals and departures.  The new building, the redevelopment of a 40,000 square-foot steel product warehouse was designed with an aviation motif to reflect the Romulus’s status as the home of Detroit Metropolitan Airport.
